Service Update: Route 45

Dear HRT Passengers,

Effective immediately the 8:13A.M. trip startingat Victory Crossing has been changed

The new trip departure time points beginning at Victory Crossing and ending at Cedar Grove is listed below:

  • Victory Crossing 8:03 A.M.
  • Gate15/NRFK 8:22 A.M.
  • County St/Court St 8:33 A.M.
  • Cedar Grove 9:03 A.M.

There will be no changes made to the Saturday or Sunday trip departures on the Route 45.

July Service Changes

Dear HRT Passengers,
Please be advised of the following service changes starting Sunday, July 11, 2010. New
schedules will be available for all time and route changes.

Route 5 – Willoughby
The Route 5 will no longer provide service on Granby St between Wards Corner & Bayview Blvd and on
Bayview Blvd between Granby & Tidewater Dr. The route will now travel from Willoughby to Oceanview and
Duffy’s Lane to Evelyn Butts using Tidewater Dr. This change will provide new service on Tidewater Dr between Bayview Blvd & Little Creek Rd.

Route 8 – Tidewater Drive
Time changes. See new schedules.

Route 9 Sewells Point Rd
Time changes. See new schedules.

Route 11 Colonial Avenue
Layover location changed from Newport Ave & 35th St to Newport Ave & Rhode Island Ave.

Route 13 Campostella Rd
Route 13 will split into two separate routes at Robert Hall Shopping Center and create New Route 14 (see
below). The revised Route 13 will operate between Cedar Grove & Robert Hall Shopping Center and no longer
service Sunrise Hills. Passengers from Sunrise Hills should use the Campostella Rd bus stops.

New Route 14 Battlefield Blvd
The New Route 14 will travel between Robert Hall Shopping Center & TCC (Chesapeake Campus).
The Route 14 will no longer provide direct service to Chesapeake General Hospital. Passengers who need to
access the hospital should use the Battlefield Blvd bus stops.

Route 20 Virginia Beach Blvd
The Route 20 will no longer provide direct service to Sentara Leigh Hospital. Passengers who need to access
the hospital should use the Kempsville Rd bus stops.

Route 25-Newtown Rd.
The Route 25 will no longer provide direct service to Sentara Leigh Hospital. Passengers who need to access
the hospital should use the Kempsville Rd bus stops.

Route 26-Bow Creek Blvd.
The Route 26 will continue to operate between Lynnhaven Mall and TCC (Virginia Beach Campus). The
route will also provide service on Lynnhaven Parkway between Lynnhaven Mall and Rosemont Rd.

Route 29-Lynnhaven Pkwy.
The Route 29 will no longer provide service to TCC (Virginia Beach Campus). The Route 29 will now
operate between Shore Dr. / Pleasure House Rd. and Lynnhaven Mall with a stop at Hilltop (Laskin Road
& First Colonial Road). The Route 29 will no longer provide direct service to Sentara VA Beach General
Hospital. Passengers who need to access the hospital should use the bus stops on First Colonial Rd.

Route 36-Holland Rd.
The Route 36 will now have extended service hours until 10:00pm Monday-Friday.

Portsmouth Routes– 41, 44, 45, 50, 57 & MAX 962
New routing and times to provide service to the new Victory Crossing transfer facility on Cavalier Blvd.

Suffolk Route– 71
The Route 71 bus stop for the Wal-Mart Shopping Center will move to the outer ring of the parking lot between the Gas Station and Fire Mountain Restaurant

Route 101-Kecoughtan
Route change on the 2:45 pm trip to service North Yard before going to 49th St.

Newport News Routes– 106, 107, 112
New routing to provide service to the new transfer location behind the Public Health Facility on J Clyde
Morris Blvd. Time changes on the Route 112 and on the AM trip to Canon. See new schedules.

Route 403-Buckroe Shopping Center
Time changes. See new schedules.

MAX 962 Portsmouth/Suffolk
The MAX 962 will no longer provide service to Cedar Grove Transfer Center and Downtown Norfolk. Route 962 will now operate between County & Court St (Portsmouth) and to Downtown Suffolk to the transfer center on Saratoga & Cherry St with stops at Victory Crossing, Chesapeake Center and Magnolia Park and Ride lot.

Due to construction at the intersection of Cavalier Blvd. and McLean St., the following routes will only serve these area stops:

  • Route 41 Outbound – Bus shelters and bus stops on McLean St.
  • Route 44 Inbound from Chesapeake Center – Bus stop on Cavalier Blvd. farside Victory Blvd. and Bus stop on McLean St. near Farm Fresh
  • Route 44C Outbound – Bus shelters and bus stops on McLean St.
  • Route 44C Inbound – Bus stop on Cavalier Blvd farside Victory Blvd. and Bus stop on McLean St. near Farm Fresh
  • Route 45 Outbound – Bus shelters and bus stops on McLean St.
  • Route 45 Inbound – Bus stop on McLean St. near Farm Fresh
  • Route 57 Outbound – Bus stop on Cavalier Blvd. farside Victory Blvd. and Bus stop on McLean St. near Farm Fresh
  • Route 962 Inbound – Bus stop on Cavalier Blvd farside Victory Blvd. or McLean St. near Farm Fresh

Route 17 (Net) Service to Nauticus

Effective: May 15, 2010-October 31,2010

Dear HRT Passengers,

Starting Saturday, May 15, 2010 the ROUTE 17 ( NET) will not provide direct service to Nauticus located at 1 Waterside Drive on the dates listed below when the cruise ships are in port at the Norfolk Cruise Terminal.

This change is due to the increase in the volume of traffic at the Nauticus during boarding and debarkation.
