Effective Monday, June 3, 2013 through Friday, June 7,2013 the bus stops on Evelyn T. Butts Avenue will be temporarily relocated to Avenue J between Merritt Street and Sewells Point Road.
This change is due to roadway improvements on Evelyn T. Butts Avenue. The transfer location is serviced by Routes 3, 5, 8, 9,15, 21,and 961.

Route 32- Virginia Beach Seasonal Service
Effective: Sunday May 19, 2013
Dear Hampton Roads Transit Customers,
Effective Sunday, May 19, 2013 the Route 32 will be modified to operate outbound via Pacific Avenue to 32nd Street to Laskin Road. A new stop will be added on 32nd Street nearside Arctic Avenue.
Inbound the route will operate via Laskin Road to 30th Street to Atlantic Avenue. A new bus stop will be added at 30th Street and Arctic Avenue. The bus stops on Laskin Road at Holly Road/Baltic Avenue and Atlantic Avenue and Laskin Road (for Rt. 32 only) will be discontinued.

Service Detour Route 21
Effective: Wednesday April 10, 2013 until further notice
Dear Hampton Roads Transit Customers,
The Route 21 will not be servicing the Farm Fresh grocery store on Admiral Taussig Boulevard after leaving Ward’s Corner on all outbound trips until further notice due to construction in the surrounding area of Wards Corner.

Change of Hours Silverleaf Transit Center

Dear Hampton Roads Transit Customers,
Beginning Monday, April 29, 2013 the Silverleaf Transit Center will extend it’s hours of operation to better serve our customers during the week.
Silverleaf will begin opening the following hours:
Monday– Thursday 5:00AM-1:00PM
Friday– 5:00AM-9:00AM and will reopen 1:00PM-5:00PM

Sentara Medical Campus Bus Stop Relocation
Effective: Wednesday, May 1, 2013
Dear Hampton Roads Transit Customers,
Effective Wednesday, May 1, 2013 until further notice, the current bus stop on
Olney Road between Sentara Norfolk General and CHKD will be temporarily
relocated to Childrens Lane between Olney Road and Fairfax Avenue due to
construction (please see the map below).
This bus stop is serviced by Routes 2, 23 and 44.

Virginia Beach Transit Extension Study Public Meetings
Effective: April 18th, 22nd, 25th, 2013
Hampton Roads Transit Customers,
Hampton Roads Transit will host three meetings this month to provide information and receive public comment on the latest developments in the Virginia Beach Transit Extension Study (VBTES).
The first meeting will be Thursday, April 18th at Doubletree Hotel Main Ballroom , 1900 Pavilion Drive, Virginia Beach 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. The routes 20 and 960 service this area.
The second meeting will be Monday, April 22nd at Westin Hotel Monarch IV-V , 4535 Commerce Drive ,Virginia Beach 6:00p.m.-8:00p.m. The routes 20 and 36 service this area.
The third meeting will be Thursday, April 25th at London Bridge Baptist Church Gymnasium, 2460 Potters Road, Virginia Beach 6:00p.m.-8:00p.m. No bus routes service this area.

Service Change Max Route 965

Dear Hampton Roads Transit Customers,
Starting Monday, April 8, 2013, Route 965 morning and afternoon scheduled start times will be adjusted.
- Morning trips to Naval Station Norfolk will depart Patrick Henry Mall at 5:15AM and 6:15AM.
- Morning trips to Naval Station Norfolk will depart Coliseum Drive and Pine Chapel Road at 5:29AM and 6:29AM.
Afternoon trips to Coliseum Drive/Pine Chapel Road and Patrick Henry Mall will depart the Navy Exchange Mall at 3:45PM and 4:30PM.

This stop will now be located near the side of Culpepper Street on Liberty Street.

Change Call Center Hours of Operation
Effective: Monday, April 1, 2013
Dear Hampton Roads Transit Customers,
Beginning Monday, April 1,2013 the Customer Service Call Center hours of operation will change.
Our new Customer Service hours will be the following:
Monday – Friday 5:00AM – 9:00PM
Due to customer feedback our Call Center will change our weekday opening hours to begin at 5:00AM and for a period of 90 days will close at 9:00PM instead of 7:00PM . Hampton Roads Transit will evaluate our evening hours of operation over the next several months.
Our Saturday and Sunday Customer Service hours of operation will remain 7:00AM-7:00PM on Saturday’s and 9:00AM-5:00PM on Sunday’s.
Our Transit Centers hours of operation will not change.
Customers can still reach our customer service line 222-6100 after hours for route information by using the Interactive Voice Response system.

Customers may board and exit at Monticello Avenue and 18th Street in front of Doumar’s Restaurant.
