Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon
HRT will be providing a number of shuttle buses to help you get to the Oceanfront, where over 20,000 runners will participate in this annual 13.1-mile race. Watch the marathon and enjoy the bands along the race course help motivate runners cross the finish line! For more information, visit www.rnrhalf.com. The shuttle buses will travel back and forth from the Virginia Beach Amphitheater to the Virginia Beach Convocation Center non-stop between 4 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Please be advised that the VB Wave service will be on detour during this time:
- Route 30 – Atlantic Avenue Shuttle – will only service 21st to 40th Streets through 1:00 PM.
- Route 31 – Campground/Aquarium Shuttle – will start running from Atlantic & 19th Street at 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
- Route 32 – Shoppers Shuttle – will start and end at 19th & Pacific instead of Atlantic & 5th Streets until 1:00 PM.
Verizon Wireless American Music Festival
Catch the VB Wave (routes 30, 31 and 32) out to the largest outdoor musical event on the East coast, the American Music Festival! The sounds of rock, jazz, country, blues, R&B, and more will flood the Virginia Beach oceanfront for three sun-filled days over Labor Day Weekend.
