Light rail advocacy group to host fundraiser in Norfolk

Virginia Beach Mayor Will Sessoms and Norfolk Mayor Paul Fraim are scheduled to be the guests of honor at a fundraiser this week for a group fighting to get light rail to Virginia Beach.

Light Rail Now, a grassroots advocacy group founded in 2010, is pushing for city voters to approve a November referendum on bringing light rail to Virginia Beach. It is presenting the event Thursday, Sept. 13, at Todd Jurich’s Bistro in downtown Norfolk. Invitations went out last week asking guests to join Sessoms and Fraim.
