On Sunday, July 7, 2013 Hampton Roads Transit will move from Cedar Grove to an interim facility at Wood Street between St. Pauls Boulevard and Church Street, just behind St. John AME Church. Norfolk, VA – Hampton Roads Transit has issued a notice to proceed to HDR Engineering, Inc. to begin a study of possible high-capacity transit alignments between The Tide light rail and the Norfolk Naval Station. Route 16 – Serving ODU and Ghent

On February 3, 2013, a revised Route 16 began service. It connects the EVMC/Fort Norfolk light rail station on Colley Avenue to stops along 21st Street, Llewellyn Avenue and 27th Street in Ghent.
