The Interim Downtown Norfolk Transit Center
The Wood Street stop is located St. Pauls Boulevard and Church Street, just behind St. John AME Church. This interim center has improved lighting and security, including safety cameras. Bus operators now make use of a traffic signal on St. Pauls to ease into the route, and the new location is closer to downtown and light rail. It is far easier to access for those in wheelchairs.
We are step closer to a new, permanent transfer center for Norfolk.
The Wood Street site is divided into three zones (A ,B and C) with each one serving different routes. Signs and shelters are marked. Way-finding signs help customers see what’s close by.
The following routes are serving Wood Street.

Where do I buy tickets?
Buy them at the same place you always do. Because it’s a new location, there is a Shell Station on St. Pauls Boulevard that sells transit passes. Tickets also are sold at retail outlets around the six cities, including select Farm Fresh locations, and at the Ticket Vending Machines at light rail stations.
