When, where and how does HRT meet with the public to discuss the Project? How can I stay informed about the Project as it moves forward?
A public meeting is planned in Spring 2007 to provide the public with an opportunity to learn about the rapid transit improvements being studied in the Draft EIS. A formal public hearing will be held late in 2007 after the DEIS is published to obtain comments on the alternatives, their effects, and proposed mitigation measures. HRT will provide public notice of such meetings. HRT also plans to hold meetings with various community and neighborhood organizations along the alignment. In addition, HRT will provide newsletters during the study to update the citizens on its progress. Project information is also available on HRT’s website at www.gohrt.com. That site also allows you to provide feedback on any HRT service or project. You may also contact HRT’s Community Relations Coordinator, Marie Arnt at 757-222-6000 or e-mail at marnt@hrtransit.org.
