Light Rail Vehicles
The Tide has a fleet of nine vehicles powered by an overhead electrical system.
Each train:
- is driven by an on-board operator who controls the speed, braking system and audible warning signals;
- is equipped with an Automatic Block signaling system, which prevents trains from colliding into one another during periods of low visibility;
- has automated stop announcements and electronic destination signs; and
- has a total of 10 interior and exterior surveillance cameras.
