Vanpooling / Van Leasing

TRAFFIX staff does a rider referral to those calling in wanting to ride in a vanpool. Driver’s name and telephone number will be provided and the caller would be responsible for inquiring if a seat was available, cost, etc. Vans are leased to approved drivers. Learn More

Transportation Incentive Program

The Department of Transportation (DOT) purchases and distributed prepaid fare media such as transit passes, fare cards and vouchers to the Department of the Navy’s (DON) members and employees to use on authorized mass transit systems. All Navy and Marine Corp military members and federal DON civilian employer living in Hampton Roads are eligible to receive incentives up to $125 a month as long as they utilize HRT’S Max Routes, The Tide, Vanpool and the Elizabeth River Ferry.
