About the Trip Planner The trip planner featured on gohrt.com is powered by Google Transit. The Google Transit Trip Planner enables you to enter the specifics of your trip - your origin and your destination, and the time of day you'd like to leave and/or arrive - then uses all available public transportation schedules and information to plot out the most efficient step-by-step itinerary. You can even compare the cost of your trip with the cost of driving the same route. Terms and conditions of use: HRT strives to provide quality information through Google Transit, but cannot guarantee 100% accuracy. This is a new and experimental service that is still being refined both by Google and participating transit agencies. It is recommended that riders double-check trip itineraries with the published bus schedules available on gohrt.com. If your trip itinerary has inaccurate stop location, time, fare, or service schedule information, it's probably because of misinformation between HRT and Google Transit. Record the origin, destination and arrival/departure date and time for your itinerary and use the link below to provide information to HRT about the problem you experienced. | Things to Consider When Using Google Transit: Some routes may be drawn as straight lines from stop to stop, and do not follow the actual route of the bus on the roads. We are working to improve this. The trip planner may provide 2 or 3 suggested trip plans. We recommend you always check these alterative trip plans as they may provide a trip that better meets your needs. Walking directions and times can be inaccurate, sometimes suggesting walking across un-passable obstacles. Google is working to improve walking directions. HRT’s basic bus fare is $1.50 with transfers generally permitted within two hours of the paid fare. Transfers must be requested at the time the fare is paid. The trip planner may not always be able to calculate the full fare cost for lengthy trips and in these cases may not provide a cost. The Paddlewheel Ferry is currently not included in the trip planner and will not be a part of suggested trip plans. HRT hopes to include the Paddlewheel Ferry to the trip planner soon. Given infrequent service intervals and long distances between stops in some of the more outlying services areas, the trip planner may suggest a longer trip in order to get you to your destination sooner. You may find trying a different departure or arrival time in the Options choice produces a better trip plan. |
