Try Transit Week Kicks Off Today!

WHAT: Hampton Roads Transit, along with the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT) and other transit operators across the Commonwealth, encourage Virginians to avoid driving solo for one week and try transit. Options to find better ways to get around town include bus, carpools, vanpools and Telework.

WHEN: Monday, September 21, 2009 until Friday, September 25, 2009

WHERE: In Hampton Roads and all across Virginia.

WHY: By pledging to try transit, participants will save money on vehicle-related expenses and time that would otherwise be spent sitting in traffic. In addition, participants will be automatically entered for a chance to win a free one-year transit pass.
