A few weeks ahead of the vote on light rail expansion, City Council is considering a campaign to give citizens more information about light rail and what it could mean for the city.

In just eight weeks, voters head to the polls to decide whether they want to suport the expansion of The Tide light rail into the resort city.

This campaign would include handing out brochures and running ads to teach people about it.

By law, the city can produce these types of campaigns as long as the information is unbiased.

The effort would cost about $22,000.

City Council will debate the idea on Tuesday.
