The Tide

The Tide is Virginia’s first light rail system. Operating along a 7.4-mile route, The Tide extends from Newtown Road at the border with Virginia Beach to the Eastern Virginia Medical Center west of downtown. In this section you will find documents developed as part of the planning, design, and construction of the project, including environmental documents, the record of decision, the agreement for federal financial support, and the capital cost methodology and cost results reports. You also will find monthly progress and quarterly reports from Hampton Roads Transit to the Federal Transit Administration.
